It is said we make approximately 35,000 decisions per day, taking into account about 8 hours of sleep that is almost 2200 decisions every waking hour of EVERY day. Are you in the driver’s seat of these decisions or are they driving you?
Many feel they are in control of their decisions, so the critical question to ask yourself is, how many of these 35,000 decisions are moving you towards what you say is most important to you?
To shed some light on the matter, let’s look at where a typical person from North America spends the bulk of their time, energy, and attention:
We send and receive around 100 text messages per day
We spend an average of 2.5 hours on social media per day
We watch almost 6 hours of video per day in its many forms (YouTube, Netflix...)
Many of our decisions are on autopilot; we fall into a rut and do many of the same things day in and day out.
The top 3 reasons people commonly give for not pursuing their goals and dreams are: not enough TIME, MONEY, and ENERGY. I am here to say you have plenty of all three of these to get started, but what we are typically lacking are FOCUS, STRUCTURE, and SUPPORT.

FOCUS – get extremely clear on your dream/goal and list all the reasons and benefits of bringing this idea to fruition. The more detail the better; this will create what I call “gravitational pull” to your daily decisions, influencing them in favour of your dreams and goals. MORE DETAIL = MORE PULL

STRUCTURE – What is your big goal: Write a book? Open a business? Run a marathon?, Travel the world? All big goals can be broken down into smaller manageable chunks, from these smaller pieces realistic goals/timelines can be put in place, and dreams can take shape. The smaller pieces can then be scheduled.

SUPPORT – No one succeeds without support, often success or failure can be determined by the acceptance of this idea. We are good at many things, but not everything! What supports will you need and be brave enough to put in place? Do you need a trainer, a financial planner, accountant, web designer, go back to school, a mastermind group, to name a few.

With these three important pillars in place, you will naturally influence your 35,000 decisions towards what you state is most important. When we focus on the dreams and ideas we want to GROW we start to crowd out the WEEDS of our non-serving behaviors and habits. We can help!
